THE 2012 AMERICAN HONEY® CALENDAR GIRLS SELECTED BY FANS

SAN FRANCISCO (July 21, 2011) — The fans have spoken and Wild Turkey American Honey®, the original honey bourbon liqueur, is proud to announce the final 2012 American Honey Calendar Girls. The American Honeys, a bevy of female ambassadors who are sweet, smooth and a little wild at heart, will now travel to Austin, Texas for a week of fun-filled activities, including a calendar photo shoot and interviews with radio stations from across the country as they compete to see who will snag the coveted 2012 American Honey Cover Girl title.

Becoming a true American Honey isn’t easy. The three-month search required applicants to submit a biography, photographs and details on why they would make the ideal American Honey. Hundreds of applicants’ profiles were posted on the American Honey website and fans from across the country voted for their favorite. An expert panel then helped to select the final 12 young ladies from the standout fan favorites. The final group of 12 are Chelcy Bowers, Whitney Bowling, Amberlynn Boyle, Carolyn Dalon Smith, Lyndi DeLisio, Kristen King, Rachel Kuriatnyk, Alanna Morin, Missy Orr, Randi Smith, Johanie Taylor and Cassie Williams; all chosen because of their beauty, brains and fun-loving nature. The Honeys are the quintessential all-American girls, hailing from all over the United States – from small towns to larger cities, they are perfectly suited to represent America’s original honey bourbon liqueur.

“We were inundated with stellar candidates for the calendar search and had a tough time selecting our final 12,” says Umberto Luchini, Group Brand Director of American Whiskies at Skyy Spirits. “An American Honey has the whole package: beauty; a warm, caring personality; and a bit wild at heart—and we are proud to say our 2012 Honeys have all that, and more.”

The American Honey Calendar photo shoot will take place in Austin on July 25 and 26, followed by a live radio broadcast on July 27 with participating DJs from around the country. Fans can view the American Honeys by visiting www.americanhoney.com.
